Mexico collapses 35% again, Iberia gives back 20%

August replays March. Mexico shed 35.19% in a single month — the second time in five months — Iberia shed 19–20%, LATAM extended its July correction by another 17%.

China → Mexico sea 40GP shed 35.19% to USD 2,350–2,900 — the lane's second 35% single-month collapse of the back-history. The pattern that ran through Q1 repeats: tariff frontload firms the rate, then destocks reverse it in a single print. Manzanillo demand from US-bound shippers thinned again as the Q3 inventory window closed.

Iberia shed in step with February's pattern. China → Spain -19.59% to USD 5,250–6,450, China → Portugal -19.42% to USD 4,400–5,350. Algeciras transshipment volumes softened as European summer demand peaked and forward orders for autumn priced in. The two-month cumulative move on the Iberian gateway is now -25%, mirroring the Q1 destocking.

The LATAM cluster shed another 17% as a block. Argentina -16.81%, Pacific Alliance lanes -16.90% each, Brazil -16.95%, Peru -17.05%. The single-block behaviour now stretches eleven months — Chancay's first scheduled deep-sea services have not produced visible differentiation in the Callao print. Brazil printed below the LATAM baseline at USD 2,200–2,700.

    02 · Calibração

    Lane Tracker publishes a single-forwarder benchmark. Where SINO's lanes overlap with FBX (12 routes E-W) or Drewry WCI (8 routes), we publish a delta vs the public index. For the ~14-16 emerging-markets lanes with no public benchmark (Middle Corridor, East Africa, MENA secondary, SE Asia secondary, Caribbean), no comparable data exists publicly.
